news o' the day
A look at some of today's stories:
Stupidest Story of the Day goes to the BBC for their piece on what music is on the President's iPod. And... yeah, I don't care. I did enjoy this bit however - "'One thing that's interesting is that the president likes artists who don't like him,' he added." Hee.
Best Headline of the Day goes to CNN for "High school seeking snitches." Heh. Basically a high school in Georgia is bribing students to give information on anyone they know with drugs, weapons, etc. Doesn't seem like the best way to go about this to me, but then what do I know.
Editorial of the Day goes to the New York Times for their editorial on a new measures the Bush administration is taking to weaken Title IX. Awesomeness. The editorial is linked to at the bottom of this post.
In other news, Rummy payed a visit to Iraq today to bug them about setting up their new government. If I were them, I'd be all, "Dude, thanks for the help and all, but could you back off a little? And next time, give us some warning before you stop by? Popping by unexpected is kind of rude." Link
